We’re hiring: Documentation Engineer!
Are you an experienced technical writer with a passion for clear instructions, CE-compliant manuals, and modular document management? For our machine-building operations, we are looking for an independent and organized specialist who will be responsible for creating and managing technical documentation. You will work closely with engineering and service technicians, ensuring that our user manuals, maintenance instructions, and training materials comply with current regulations. This ensures that our customers worldwide can operate our machines safely and efficiently.

Wat ga je doen?
- You lay the foundation by creating and managing content blocks in our CMS.
- You actively participate in technical kick-off meetings where specifications are aligned.
- You continuously coordinate your work with fellow engineers to ensure everything fits together seamlessly.
- You write and develop operator and maintenance manuals, combining illustrations and content blocks from the CMS into clear documentation.
- You ensure accurate translations and monitor their quality.
- You publish the manuals, delivering a complete and professional final product.
- You implement changes and updates in existing documentation.
- You maintain and optimize the content blocks in the CMS, ensuring the information is always up-to-date and reusable.
Who are you?
- You have a completed MBO+/HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Technical Communication.
- You have 5 to 8 years of experience creating machine manuals and instructional documentation.
- You are experienced with the Configure-to-Order work method.
- You have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including CE marking, the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), and NEN 5509.
- You are experienced with DITA XML, Simplified Technical English (STE), Autodesk Vault, and ERP systems (e.g., RidderIQ).
- You have knowledge of graphic and vector illustrations, for example with Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator.
- You possess strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- You work accurately, customer-focused, and in a structured manner.
